You must have noticed this month’s Swarajya issue is a little bit delayed—but for a reason.

What’s in store:

• We’re preparing a special issue on temple management and the pressing question of temple freedom, which was brought back to limelight again after the recent Tirupati laddu controversy.

What we did:

• Our team has brought back stories and ground reports (from and) on temple governance across India, going beyond surface-level outrage to explore what’s really at stake.

• We believe this issue will be worth the wait.

When will the issue be ready:

• Most of the stories are already in and we're in the final stages of putting them together and sending it to the printing press.

• You, as a subscriber, will get to access the digital version of the magazine as soon as we publish the magazine online. The PDF should follow that.

• If you are a print subscriber, we'll dispatch the hard copy as well.
