A video showed that an under-construction four-lane bridge in Bhagalpur, Bihar collapsed on Sunday with no reported fatalities so far.
This is the second time that a bridge has collapsed in the state recently.
In 2014, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had inaugurated the Aguwani-Sultanganj bridge linking Sultanganj and Khagaria districts.

CM Kumar has ordered an inquiry into the incident and said strict action should be taken against the erring officials, as per the report.
"Yes, I have received the information that 4-5 pillars of the Aguwani-Sultanganj under-construction bridge collapsed. The administration is in touch with officials of the department concerned," Bhagalpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen told PTI.
Commenting on the incident, BJP's state president, Samrat Choudhary said that "corruption is rampant" in the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government.
This is the second time that a bridge has collapsed in the state in recent times.
Last December, a bridge located in Begusarai district collapsed and fell into the Burhi Gandak river. Fortunately, this incident did not result in any injuries as the bridge wasn't officially opened yet, due to the absence of an access road.
According to the reports, an official said at the time of accident last year that 'the bridge was to be inaugurated soon but it collapsed before that.'
