The I.N.D.I. Alliance, consisting of more than two dozen opposition parties, has decided to hold their inaugural joint public rally in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, during the first week of October.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) member of Parliament T R Baalu mentioned that discussions on seat-sharing among the constituent parties will commence soon, with priority given to states holding assembly elections later this year.

"We have agreed to engage in seat-sharing arrangements and discussions in various states. The states with upcoming assembly elections will be given precedence. The first rally will take place in Bhopal during the first week of October," Baalu explained.

The meeting, attended by 12 member parties, took place at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar's residence in the national capital on Wednesday, with the exception of Abhishek Banerjee from All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), who was unable to attend due to a summon by the Enforcement Directorate.

The coordination committee has granted authority to the sub-group on media to decide on the anchors for shows where none of the I.N.D.I. Alliance parties will send their representatives. This decision was added to the committee's resolutions.

Later this year, several states, including Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Telangana, are scheduled to hold assembly elections.

The next meeting of the I.N.D.I. Alliance will take place after the special session of Parliament.

During the meeting, there was also a discussion about the controversy surrounding Sanatana Dharma. It was decided that all parties would take the same stance on the matter, according to sources.

The Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, an opposition group, announced the formation of a 14-member coordination committee during their third meeting in Mumbai on 1 September.

Thirteen members of the committee have been named, while the identity of one person is still unknown. The opposition has yet to select a convener.

The 14-member committee includes representatives from various parties such as Congress, NCP, DMK, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), Rashtriya Janata Dal, TMC, Aam Aadmi Party, Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (United), Communist Party of India, National Conference, People's Democratic Party, and one leader from Communist Party of India (Marxist) who will be named later.
