Gautam Adani met NCP president Sharad Pawar at his residence for a two-hour meeting on Thursday morning.
According to a source, reported The Indian Express, they engaged in talks regarding various topics concerning both the nation and the state.
Days after causing a stir in Opposition ranks by opposing a JPC probe into Hindenburg’s report on Adani Group, Pawar held a meeting, believed to be on the same topic. He had earlier claimed that the Adani Group was being “targeted”.
Earlier this month, Pawar, in a NDTV interview, disagreed with the Congress-led Opposition's demand for a JPC investigation into the Adani Group controversy and distanced himself from the Parliament disruption caused by the opposition on this issue.
"An individual industrial group of the country was targeted, that is what it seems," he said in the interview.
Pawar's decision to diverge from the opposition had cast uncertainties on the opposition unity not just in Maharashtra but also across the nation.
Opposition parties in the MVA have taken varying stances on the Veer Savarkar controversy and the demand for a JPC probe into the Adani-Hindenburg issue, leading to doubts about their unity in recent weeks.
