Pressure From INDIA Block Allies? DMK Now Wants To Avoid Sanatana Dharma Debate

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) President and Chief Minister M K Stalin advised his party workers to focus on targeting the "corruption" of the BJP-led Centre and avoid getting into a debate about Sanatan Dharma.

According to the Tamil Nadu's ruling party chief, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent directive to his Cabinet colleagues to defend Sanatan Dharma is simply a ploy to gain political advantage from the controversy.

The Chief Minister highlighted that one of the Union Ministers is deliberately trying to divert attention by making Sanatan a talking point, in order to prevent a debate on corruption.

Dravidar Kazhagam chief K Veeramani also emphasised the need to focus more on the corruption of the Bhartiya Janata Party.

Following this, Stalin urged his party members and alliance leaders to keep their attention on the issue of graft.

He said, "Let us work with dedication to win our cherished goal of protecting the country and democracy by defeating the graft tainted, communal and despotic BJP regime and I appeal to everyone to not give room to attention diversion."

He further ppealed to everyone to avoid falling for the BJP's attention diversion tactics, as they are experts in diverting attention from real issues.

The Chief Minister has brought attention to alleged irregularities in Central schemes, such as the Bharat Mala and Dwaraka expressway projects, amounting to Rs 7.50 lakh crore.

According to the Chief Minister, the CAG report has exposed these irregularities.

Stalin also criticised the BJP regime for its handling of the Manipur violence, stating that they were incapable of resolving the situation and are instead attempting to divert the national discourse.

He also mentioned that the recent victory of INDIA alliance partners in the bypolls is a sign of a potential nationwide success for the combine in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
