According to News18, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to improve its tally in the state of Telangana.
The numbers are as follows:
NDA: 7-10
INC: 5-8
BRS+AIMIM: 3-5
In Telangana, the major parties going to polls are the Congress, Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), BJP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
In 2019, the BRS, which was then in power in the state, had won 9 of 17 seats. The BJP won four, the Congress three, and the AIMIM won one seat, respectively. BJP has been campaigning extensively in the state and is trying to fill the vacuum created by the BRS.
As a result, the NDA tally in the state may even go up to ten, pollsters predict.
According to AxisMyIndia - India Today, the BJP's vote share is set to increase to a whopping 43 per cent, while the BRS is losing about 28 per cent of its vote share. In terms of seats, the BRS and AIMIM will struggle to open accounts, and the BJP will zoom past the double digits and end up with 11 to 12 seats in the state.
This will be a historic mandate, should the numbers turn out to be true.
