The burgeoning rift of distrust and animosity between JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has deepened, marked by a scathing remark from the JD(S) floor leader likening his former party colleague to "the modern reincarnation of Mir Sadiq."
Mir Sadiq, historically, was a minister during Tipu Sultan's reign who plotted with the British, Tipu's adversary, and is now infamous for his treacherous actions.
In response to Kumaraswamy's jibe on social media, Siddaramaiah retorted, likening the situation to "one who lacks the ability to dance criticising the stage."
He further contended that Kumaraswamy's allegations were baseless.
Unfazed by Siddaramaiah's response, Kumaraswamy, who accuses Siddaramaiah of orchestrating the downfall of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government, fired back, questioning the fairness of sabotaging the stage before the performance began.
He challenged Siddaramaiah to candidly acknowledge his role in the collapse of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government, asserting that such equivocation resembled the tactics of Mir Sadiq.
Kumaraswamy challenged Siddaramaiah to speak openly about his actions, daring him to admit his role in the coalition's demise.
