Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be buying every single grain of boiled rice produced by the farmers once the party forms a government in Telangana.

“If you cannot do this, then resign. The BJP will take charge and the BJP government in the state will buy every single kilo of boiled rice from the farmers in the state,” Shah lashed out at the incumbent K Chandrashekhar Rao-led state government.

He further revealed that the BJP will discard all religious reservation as Shah explained that such systems had harmed socially-backward groups like the Dalits, tribals and the other backward castes (OBCs).

Speaking at a public meeting at Tukkugada, Shah repeatedly kindled the crowd to ‘uproot and throw the KCR government’.

He said that a corrupt family was running the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government and that they weren’t keeping any of their ‘neellu, nedhulu, neyamakalu’ (water, resources and jobs) promises.

“The Modi government has so far sanctioned Rs 2,52,202 crore for Telangana,” Shah told the crowd, as reported by the Deccan Chronicle.

He further added, “But the KCR government either takes credit or refuses to pass on the benefits of central schemes like Aayushman Bharat or Kisam Bima to potential beneficiaries."
