Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared August 23 as 'National Space Day' and designated the landing site of Chandrayaan on the moon as 'Shiv Shakti'.

After arriving in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Modi praised the scientists at ISRO for the successful mission of Chandrayaan-3. He announced that the landing spot of Chandrayaan-3's moon lander will be named 'Shiv Shakti'.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi revealed that the location where Chandrayaan-2 left its mark on the moon in 2019 will be called 'Tiranga Point'.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the achievement of Chandrayaan is not just India's, but a triumph for all of humanity.

“Today, I am feeling a different level of happiness…such occasions are very rare…this time, I was so restless…I was in South Africa but my mind was with you", he added.
