US Government's UFO Programme Under Scrutiny: Congressional Hearing Sheds Light On Alien Encounters

A former American intelligence official revealed during a congressional hearing that the US government had conducted a "multi-decade" which collected, and attempted to reverse-engineer, crashed UFOs.

The US House oversight committee in Washington was told by David Grusch, who led analysis of unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAP) within a US Department of Defence agency until 2023, that “non-human” beings had been found.

The hearing was prompted by Grusch's claims in June that the government was secretly housing alien spacecraft. During the hearing, Grusch reiterated some of these claims, although not all of them, under oath.

Grusch informed the committee that, while carrying out his official duties, he was made aware of a long-running programme focused on retrieving and reverse-engineering crashed UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena).

However, he was denied access to this program.

In 2022, Grusch filed a whistleblower complaint. He asserted that his attempts to investigate knowledge held by military, defence, and other agencies about aliens and alien spacecraft were hindered, alleging that he was denied access to classified government UFO programs.

Grusch revealed on Wednesday that he has faced "very brutal" retaliation as a consequence of his allegations.

“It hurt me both professionally and personally,” Grusch said.

Under questioning, Grusch confirmed that he possessed knowledge of individuals who had suffered harm or injury as a result of the government's attempts to conceal information about UFOs.

When a member of the oversight committee asked if he had ever felt his life was in danger, Grusch responded affirmatively, stating that he had indeed feared for his safety.

Furthermore, Grusch expressed hope that his actions would ultimately lead to a positive outcome characterised by increased transparency.

Grusch's claim, which he shared in interviews with the Debrief and NewsNation, created a major controversy in June. This controversy prompted the oversight committee, led by Republicans, to immediately initiate an investigation into the federal government's alleged concealment of evidence pertaining to alien spacecraft from Congress.

Since then, the speculation surrounding the evidence the government possesses, or lacks, regarding UFOs has only grown stronger.

Tim Burchett, a Republican congressman from Tennessee who is co-leading the UFO investigation, has recently made claims about the US having evidence of technology that defies the laws of physics.

He also suggested that alien crafts possess technology capable of causing significant harm. However, on Wednesday, Burchett attempted to downplay what the public might expect to hear.

“We’re not bringing little green men or flying saucers into the hearing. Sorry to disappoint about half y’all. We’re just going to get to the facts,” Burchett said.

Grusch also claimed that the US has indeed recovered alien beings.

Following Grusch's reaffirmation that the government possesses crashed extraterrestrial vehicles, he was asked whether there is evidence of the bodies of the pilots who operated these craft.

“As I’ve stated publicly already in my NewsNation interview, biologics came with some of these recoveries,” Grusch said.

These biologics, Grusch said, were “Non-human, and that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to, that are currently still on the program," reports Guardian.

Grusch suggested that the government had been aware of non-human activity since the 1930s, although he was less forthcoming about it under oath than in his media interviews.

During the NewsNation interview, Grusch asserted that the government possessed large alien crafts resembling football fields, while he also mentioned to Le Parisien that the US had acquired a bell-like craft recovered in northern Italy in 1933 during Benito Mussolini's reign.

During the hearing, Grusch avoided providing specific details on the claims, citing security concerns. He expressed his willingness to discuss the matter privately.

The Pentagon, through defense department spokeswoman Sue Gough, refuted Grusch's allegations of a cover-up.

Gough stated that investigators had not found any verifiable evidence to support the existence of programs related to extraterrestrial materials in the past or present.

Other witnesses at the hearing included David Fravor, a former navy commander who recounted seeing a peculiar object in the sky during a training mission in 2004. Ryan Graves, a retired navy pilot, also testified that he had witnessed unidentified aerial phenomena off the Atlantic coast on a daily basis for a couple of years.

Graves, who has established Americans for Safe Aerospace, a non-profit organization focused on UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), stated that he was representing the concerns of over 30 commercial aircrews and military veterans who had shared similar encounters with him.

When asked about the similarities between his sightings and other reported incidents, Graves described many of the UFOs as being "dark grey or black cubes inside of clear sphere," with the apex or tips of the cube touching the inside of the sphere.

Grusch claims that he has not personally seen the alleged alien craft, but instead relies on extensive interviews with high-level intelligence officials.

Considering the government's track record in keeping other important secrets, there is reason to doubt its capability to maintain such a significant secret.
