Jagran reported that Salman, an accused in a firing case appeared in court in Pratapgarh of Rajasthan with a pistol, fearing encounter by the police. During this, the man began pleading with folded hands in front of the judge. The police arrested him thereafter.
Allegedly, the accused had fired at another person in a personal dispute. Fearing that the police would encounter him, he brought the crime weapon to the judge.
Notably, the BJP has formed a government in the state with Bhajan Lal Sharma as the Chief Minister in the recently held assembly elections. One of the issues in election was law and order situation in the state.
The judge was also surprised. Salman confessed to his crime during this time. Salman said that he owns a fish shop and fired at the person who had threatened him that if he interfered with his business, he would kill him. Salman said he came to surrender in court and admit his crime.
Meanwhile, the statement of the police officer in the entire case has come to light. The police said that a person named Salman had fired in the Kachchi Basti area of Pratapgarh. The police immediately reached the spot. An FIR was registered at night, and an investigation into the case has begun.
The police further stated that Salman and his associates were being searched. Salman arrived in court with weapon, which would attract a charge, police said. The police said that strict action would be taken against the criminals.
