If K Chandrashekar Rao ever thought, when he decided to dissolve the Telangana state assembly, that things would be easy for him, he has been proven wrong. Far from a cakewalk, KCR has had an unexpectedly strong competition to contend with.

To be sure, the chief minister does still have the edge over others.
