Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday (23 August) reacted to a tweet comparing the budget of India's moon mission, Chandrayaan-3, and Hollywood movie Interstellar.
This comes as India is set to land the lander module of Chandrayaan-3 on the South Pole of the Moon today (23 August).
Musk's comment came in response to a tweet by former journalist Cindy Pom on the official handle of her organisation Newsthink.
“Kinda crazy when you realize India's budget for Chandrayaan-3 ($75M) is less than the film Interstellar ($165M),” reads the Tweet.
Responding to the Newsthink tweet, Musk said, "Good for India!".
It should be noted that if successful, India will become the fourth nation to successfully land a spacecraft on the moon - after Russia, the United States, and China.
The mission also gains significance as a successful landing on the moon's surface will make India the first country to land a spacecraft on the lunar body's south pole.
