Pakistan Police has blamed India for the recent killing of a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist in Sialkot, reported Dawn.

This incident occurred, a week ago (on 11 October), when the Pakistan-based India-oriented terrorist organisation, JeM, saw its leader, Shahid Latif, fatally shot in a mosque in Daska, Sialkot, Pakistan.

Shahid Latif was the mastermind behind the attack on the Indian Air Force's (IAF) Pathankot airbase in Punjab.

Last Friday (13 October), Pakistan's Punjab Police Chief made an official statement holding the hostile intelligence agency of a 'rogue nation' responsible for the attack.

While not explicitly naming India, this statement indirectly implicates India in the incident.

The police further announced that they had apprehended the attackers and revealed that the attack was planned outside of Pakistan.

It's noteworthy that in the past year, almost fifteen individuals associated with terror activities in India have been killed in Pakistan by unidentified gunmen. This also includes some khalistani leaders.

In all these cases, the assailants were never apprehended or identified.

One notorious terrorist killed last year, on 1 March 2022, was Zahoor Mistry, one of the five terrorists who hijacked the Indian Airlines passenger jet IC-814.

He was shot point-blank in Karachi by two unknown gunmen on motorbikes.

Several other terrorists met similar fates, including Ripudaman Singh Malik, associated with the Babbar Khalsa Khalistani terrorist organisation and accused of the 1985 Air India Flight 182 bombing, Syed Khalid Raza, commander of Hizbul Mujahideen linked to infiltration activities in Kupwara, and Bashir Ahmed Peer, also known as Imtiyaz Alam, involved in infiltration and recruitment activities in Jammu and Kashmir.
